Challenged to show a young Mufasa cub reflecting the king he'd become, we built a teaser piece around the reflection concept, with a copy line to tease the story and snow on the ground hinting at a new environment and new adventure. We then created a counterpart piece for Scar with parallel composition and copy that alludes to his villain origin, released at D23, and character art that spans the kingdom.
